Johanna Montalvo (@jdma18) is the Head Quality Coordinator for Caravela Coffee in North America, where she enjoys being a part of a link in the chain between the origin of coffee and consumers. She took every opportunity to learn more about coffee in her home country - Ecuador. She sees the sensory experience as a journey and a way of connecting to emotions, memories, and stories through a cup of coffee. Johanna wants to remind everyone to take a moment and be present.

Tim Wendelboe demonstrates how to train your palate and isolate characteristics in coffees with a simple exercise you can do at home.

Tim is the 2004 World Barista Champion, the 2005 World Cup Tasters Champion, eight time winner of the Nordic Roasting Championship, an author, golfer, and runs a world class roastery + espresso bar in Oslo, Norway.

Angela is a coffee professional, a foodie and an amazing teacher, so she is going to coach you to train your palate in every day life and build your flavour bank to become a better coffee taster 👅

Angela is the Communications Director at @thebaristaleague, based in Baltimore. Over the last decade she's been a barista, a coffee educator, a USBC Sensory Judge and coach, and a Cup Tasters competitor. Her greatest achievement to date is making it onto last season's Leaderboard 🙃 (her words not ours)

You may know him best from Instagram, but Alex has a history in coffee far beyond the app. He’s very intentional in the way he approaches how we talk about what we talk about in this industry, and the result is building bridges with words.
